This week, we started planning our action for Exhibition. Action is doing something to help the issue that we have chosen. An example… Say someone was doing "how deforestation affects the environment" for their topic. They could write a letter to the mayor to tell the mayor to make a proposal to help deforestation in Houston. This would be an example of "action". We have up until November 17th to complete our action. Action is NOT easy! It provides us with ability to do something major. i love action it is so fun because i get to thing that can affect the lives of other and that really challenges me in good way!

ReplyDeleteYeah Mr.Shariari, like we are going to spend that much time reading on the weekend I'm going to the mall! But anyway exhibition is awsome I can't wait to go to the lab and just the thought of going into a real lab gives me the shivers! We are going to have this awsome science dude come and speak to our class about how mice help in the makeing of the golden nano shell wich kills cancer! my partner is Brayla and we are haveing so much fun!
ReplyDeleteSo far I just love exhibition.I am so excited that we started our action,because we get do our action outside the the school. By now my exhibition partner and I have about 5 ideas but can't pick beacause all the 5 ideas are great!!!

ReplyDeleteI love action planning it is so much fun because there are so many different ways you can pull your project together.But I also learned during my first day of action planning that in order to do your action you have to have your research and in order to have your research you have to know what your topic is.The best thing I love about action is brain storming on how your action is going to take place or how it will affect your project.All of these ideas are fantastic and i'm looking forward to exhibition day

I love exhibition but we topic is very challange.I excited for EXHIBITION DAY.Why i love exhibition? Because my topic is very interesting(Robotics).My group(Kyle,Keaton,I) bringing KIM HAMBUCHEN she coming 11/9 or 11/20 she is very popular robotic enginer.And we organize Field Trip NASA Houston.Exhibition learned i first of all planining.

Our topic is peer pressure and we have 2 actions.We will give a speech to the 2nd and 3rd graders about peer pressure . We chose the smaller kids cause we want them to be more aware of it. For our other action we will do a survey with 4th and 5th grade to see which grade they went through the most peer pressure.:)

The action part of exhibition is really fun but hard. the thing that keeps me going while planning the action is that i know i will be helping and educating many people. i think so far this is the hardest part, but it helps the most,for us and the world.
ReplyDeleteMy topic is water contamination and me and my parner are taking acction by making a video to educate kids at Robert elementary school. Taking action is kind of hard because i need to write my scrip of what i am going to say in the video but it is fun to because you get to do something for others and i had beeing enjoing working hard.:)

ReplyDeleteMy topic is the war in the AGHANISTAN.My partner and I's action is making lemonade stand to make money from work we did,to give it to fallen soldier's family or serious injured vetarens.we sent a letter to KSBJ to spread the word about our topic.It is hard to find the right place that has a lot of people coming in and out of the place.Overall I love what I am doing for the fallen vetaren's familys and the serious injured vetarens.
ReplyDeleteI think our action has been going quite well, we know what we are doing, how we are doing it, and we will meet a couple of times every week. we will be writing a letter to the president and making a video on how we contaminate water, what the affects are, and how to prevent.
ReplyDeleteI feel like exhibition and the action proccess can be difficult. say you have your action all planned out and you will write a petition, I think thats were your research comes in, what will you write the petiton about. if your topic is to broad then there are many diffrent things to write about, if you have no research then you wont know what you can change that will be helpful. The process of your action is the biggest wake up call, if you turn it around and work hard to get back on track then its a good thing. but if you just sit there worrying about how its going to turn out, then your makeing it worse. I think many people in the past have taken it both ways. Without the action even the smartest people will be lost.paul

This will surely help students around the world understand what the action component is all about and how it works. The action is fun but hard. If you want to protest, you have to make sure it's not too late like in construction if the builders already started building it's too late. my topic is how construction affects the envirment. My action is writing a petition to the city of houston and getting a guest speaker.
ReplyDeleteI think that exhibition's action is very hard. It was very hard trying to narrow down my action from something very complicated to something not that simple but my partner and I have to work really hard.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Exhibition is to educate younger students about our topics, and how they affect our future, and to inspire the future, "Exhibitioneers", as a call it.
